A space defined by a tree planted to serve as a location for public art practices. It is unregulated and open to all to utilize. A brass marker is placed on location to aid in tree identification. Anyone can perform or do an artwork at the tree.

From Downtown LA (15 min.)
*Take (I-5) north
*Take Glendale FRWY (I-2) north towards Glendale
*Exit Verdugo Road. Go left from the off-ramp onto Eagle Rock Blvd.
*Continue on Eagle Rock Blvd. past 5 stoplights to Westdale Ave
*Right at Westdale Ave & follow it until it ends at Campus Rd
*Left at Campus Rd
*Right at Bird Rd.
*Left at Gilman Rd.
*Right at Coons Rd.
*Park at Coons Road parking lot on left next to big hill
*Follow the trail up the hill to the dirt path and make a left where it forks at the first hill top
*The tree is about 65 paces on your left. Pass between the two white stanchion markers.
*It is a eucalyptus, site 3 for tree and space. Next to it is the dead oak tree, site 2.
*Look for the cement marker and plaque
*to find site 1 (dead pine), take a right at the dirt path instead of a left and go approx. 65 paces. It is on the right hand side near a big eucalyptus.

The plaque was tagged late in December. Not sure what "WF" stands for. It seems permanent.
